The application for the 2026-2027 Los Angeles Unified School Volunteer Program is now open!
The School Volunteer Unit, which manages the School Volunteer Program, has developed helpful resources to assist throughout the application process, including:

• LAUSD Volunteer Application Job Aid: English and Spanish.
• Fingerprint Process Job Aid: English and Spanish.

Beginning in Spring 2026, school principals and administrators will continue to approve volunteer applications. Other classified personnel may be granted designee access, which is limited to updating volunteer applications with required information. Final approval must be completed by site administrators.

• Student Teachers:
If you are seeking placement as a student teacher, please contact your University Student Teacher Placement office or the LAUSD Teacher Development and Support Branch at (213) 241-5495.
• LAUSD High School Students:
LAUSD high school students do not have to complete the Online Volunteer Application to volunteer at a LAUSD school. However, the LAUSD Student Volunteer Permission Form must be completed by high school students.
